HORRIBLE!!! Today marked an unfortunate and highly disappointing milestone in that I had the WORSE massage of my life at Massage Oasis at 75th & Douglas in Urbandale. There was no legitimate massage or oasis. My non-massage massage was literally a total and complete waste of my time and money. I had an appointment for a 90-minute deep-tissue massage with a masseuse named Anna. Anna, who speaks little to no English, greeted me when I walked in. I verified that she could do a deep-tissue massage, and I told her where I needed the most attention (via a translator app). She said she could and would do that. I got then was escorted to the room, where I disrobed and got on the table. She came in and started. I knew within the first 10 seconds that things would not go well. Instead of deep tissue, I got light touch (at best), I asked her to go harder, but she did not do so. I got cold but there was little heat. The massage literally did NOTHING for me except waste my time and money. On the way out, I gave her a $20 just because I am a nice guy. There was no "thank you" or "how was it" or anything else from her. She shorted me on time, but it did not matter since my so-called massage was just wasting my time. I did not want any extras, but those were not offered. My advice is to NEVER, EVER, EVER go to Massage Oasis.

I used to come here all the time yrs ago when Cindy was here for yrs, so thought I would try it again , Since I was right in the area a few blocks away,,,, Walking inside I noticed an older lady behind desk I asked if they were busy and the older lady says no not at all,, She say follow Susan,,, Went in room and got Comfortable and then Susan comes in a few minutes later and starts the massage she asked soft medium or hard? I always go for soft, Because this tells them some thing and put them in a different type of thinking,,, but has the massage went into 15 min, No teasing at all,,,I instantly can tell this is a new girl working here, I asked her where she worked before she says in the nail salon at Valley West Mall Ohhhhh I say,,,, in the flip she as is there anything more I would like? I said YES!!! Lol,, She says are you positive, I said yes,,, And she began very slowly and I could tell right away she’s never done this too often her skills were very lacking,,,, but Finally it worked Don’t I think I’m going to return there’s better massage parlors in Des Moines area,,, They’re starting to rotate the girls from Chicago Cedar Rapids in different areas

At the very back end of an older strip mall, up against the back of property fence. Thus very little vehicle traffic near it. Inside seemed clean. Arrived early evening. Only one person working. She had a mask on so hard to tell her age. Also wearing high neck top, jeans, tennis shoes. Guessing 25-30 based on physical appearance and service skills. She seemed very new at this. Normal routine of being led to room where you prep while they leave. Started face down with dry massage over towel on back. Then towel was tossed and oil was added for more back massage. That was the extent of the massage. No butt, no legs, no neck, nothing other than back. On the flip, no additional massage would occur. No discussion on tip, just went to it. Got there but it took time as her skills need improvement. (maybe repetition will help?)

I stopped here because there where no ratings for this business yet. If you want a massage with a little different technique you should stop by. So the location is on the back end of a business strip mall . Front lobby was clean and well kept. I requested an hour massage which she said it would be $65. I gave her $80 and she asked if I wanted the change. I told her to keep it. Took me to the room which was quite small. About 2’ space around the table with a little table to set my clothes. There is a door to the room with a curtain hanging over the doorway. She left the door open during the massage. The room was very clean and I could tell when I laid down the sheets where freshly cleaned. When she came back to the room she gave me my change back, I thought was different from most AMPs . Susan has a very unique massage style. Her hands moved fast in a different motion than your typical AM. Firm pressure but not painful. After the flip. She used flexology massage on the hips and legs. After I set up she continued to massage my shoulders and neck. Overall I was very Happy with the experience.
